Your First Thought in Cordage...

Wellington's cordage operations are located in several states, and proudly include some of the oldest as well as most modern facilities in the country. Tradition is an important part of the Wellington success story. As the industry leader in both consumer and commercial cordage, we offer products ranging from the traditional retail packaged rope to highly specialized products. From the oil rigs in Oklahoma to the fiber optic industry in Europe, one can find Wellington Rope.

Our product line covers all five types of construction: Twisted, Solid Braid, Hollow Braid, Double Braid, and Plaited. You can learn all about Rope and Cordage in The Rope Book.

The fibers used in the manufacturing process range from natural fibers to synthetics. Wellington is a founding member of the Cordage Institute, which provides specification standards for the industry. With these fibers and constructions, we can produce cordage products from small cotton twines to rope 18 inches in circumference with a break strength of over 2,500,000 pounds. Wellington can boast of having the highest quality in the industry, because we are one of the few vertical manufacturers in the country.
